🛑 Important Reminder
Make sure all documents are printed and physical — no digital or phone screenshots will be accepted at any Texas DPS office.
If you do not bring hard copies, you may be denied service and forced to reschedule, wasting valuable time, money on Uber/Lyft, or missing school/work.

Step 1: Get Your Learner’s Permit (DPS Appointment)
• DE-964 Certificate (Classroom Instruction) – issued after 6HR of your teen driver’s ed course replacing knowledge test
• VOE – Verification of Enrollment from your high school
• Valid Passport or Birth Certificate
• Social Security Card
• 2 Proofs of Texas Residency (or Residency Affidavit + parent’s documents)
• Parent or Guardian must be present to sign the DL-14A form
• Vision test will be administered at DPS
Step 2: Take Your Driving Test With Us (Third-Party Road Test)
• Printed Drivers Education DE964 course certificate (drivers ed course)
• Printed ITTD Certificate – Impact Texas Teen Drivers Course• Learner’s Permit (must be held for at least 6 months)
• Parent or Guardian must be present on test day
Step 3: Final DPS Appointment – Get Your License
• Valid Passport or Birth Certificate
• Social Security Card
• 2 Proofs of Texas Residency
• VOE (Verification of Enrollment)
• 30-Hour Behind-the-Wheel Practice Log & 7-Hour In-Car Observation Log (https://www.allstardriveredonline.com/forms/TexasDriveLogs.pdf)
• Sealed Test Envelope from our examiner (includes ITTD Impact certificate and drivers education DE-964 certificate)
• Parent or Guardian must be present -

Yes! You can request a specific location or tell us your preferred travel distance (e.g., within 5, 10, or 15 miles). We also consider traffic, wait times, and clerk friendliness to recommend the best option.

We usually find appointments within 7–10 days, often faster depending on your location and flexibility. Urgent bookings are available with our FastTrack and Dean’s List packages.

No — our booking fee only covers securing the appointment for you. You’ll still need to pay DPS license fees at the office ($11-33), usually by card or check (some locations accept cash).
